Introduction
Well, hi there!
Glad you could make it. Hopefully you've enjoyed some of my creations, photos and what have you, on this site. Now... here's the thing... I would like to take the opportunity to tell you about myself and what makes my view on the world a bit special.
So, let's start with a quick introduction.
I've now reached the golden age of 46 and is currently living in Sweden, just outside Stockholm in a small town call Södertälje (Soedertaelje eng. pronunciation).
This is where I was born and grew up. But I haven't always been here. As a matter of fact I recently returned here after being away for 20 years.
During these 20 years I've gathered experiences, knowledge and wisdom from a multitude of sources.
I've worked in marketing/manufaturing of screen-printing and exhibitions for Porsche, Volkswagen and Scania for a couple of years.
For ten years I worked at one of Swedens largests banks, Handelsbanken. I worked there as an asssistant to the legal departmanet responsible for claming payments. I then moved on to become a credit officer handling short/long term loans and credit cards. After a while I went on and became responsible for some business systems on mainframe, midi- and PC computers. I also became security officer for the mainframe and network/servers. In addition I programmed in a statistical system called SAS. And I did a lot of other stuff here as well.
The next ten years I became engaged in IBM Nordics as a Net consultant, working with all aspects of the area networking. This included everything from minor analysis of existing networks to major implementation of spanking brand new infrastructres spanning all the Nordic countries.
I have been married and are now divorced with two wounderful kids.
Since 1993 I've had my own company. Started out with some attempts in making children books without greater success, although I can't claim that I REALLY tried that hard... ;-)
Anyway, in 2004 I decided to remodel my company and started an antique book shop on the net. At this time I started with CMS - Content Management Systems like Mambo, WordPress and alike.
Since then I have developed payment solutions for Virtuemart and visit forums all around the globe concerning open source, actively participating and helping out.
Today I have two small companies and a new one with my partner Göran Stolt. The small ones are INFOCLIP (antique book shop), AKERMANS COVE (this portfolio site) and STOLT/AKERMAN.
STOLT/AKERMAN is a branding, marketing and webdriven solution company. Here we can handle all types of assignments, from advisory capacity on branding/marketing to whole campaings and from a single web-banner to complex web solutions.
STOLT/AKERMAN has formed partnership with several important players in open source and on the local marketplace.
