200 photos shot by the same number of members at the magazine/ezine Fotosidan.se are exhibit during the summer at Galleri Kontrast in Stockholm. Together these photos will give an interesting image of Sweden today.

The theme is "Sweden – an idyllic place?". Each photographer has made their contribution to this question and together the photos form an interesting image of Sweden today.

Galleri Kontrast is in center of Stockholm, close to "Slussen" and is the oldest Photo Gallery in Sweden. It is owned by Swedish Press photographers Club.

– A lot of Stockholm residents and tourists are passing "Slussen" every day and the gallery is therefore perfect for one of our exhibition. Our magazine has many members and together they can create an interesting exhibition that will appeal to many people, claims the founder of Fotosidan David Elmfeldt.

The exhibition starts with a vernissage on Saturday June 18 at 12.00 - 16.00 and is active all the way till Sunday August 21. All are welcome.

100 photos has been selected for printing and framing by partner Epson and another 100 photos are viewable in the video exhibition.

10 photos are rewarded with an honorary judgement by the jury that consists of documentary photographer Jens Assur, DN-photographer Beatrice Lundborg, David Elmfeldt and Magnus Fröderberg from Fotosidan and Galleri Kontrasts acting manager Mia Klintewall and the exhibition curator, freelance photographer Marcus Erixson. These 10 photos will be printed in a larger size and will also be published in the autumn edition of the Fotosidan magazine.

For a photographer competitions and exhibitions represents excellent opportunities to meet others that are interested in photos as well as connect with people that are interested in purchases.

In this particular exhibition I have been selected to contribute with two photos; one printed and framed image, as well as on for the video exhibition.

As well as being a confirmation on a personal level that you do something right, it as also a confirmation to others that your work is being recognized. It is up to you what you do in order to build on that.
